St. Thomas Choral Scholarship Program
St. Thomas the Apostle, Nassau Bay, is seeking singers (soprano, tenor and bass), grades 10-12, to participate in the Choral Scholarship program within the parish choir.
Membership, by audition*, is open to any high school student. Singers selected as Choral Scholars will receive a monthly stipend of $150 per month ($1,500 for the full ten-month singing year).
The focus of the Program is the study, preparation and performance of music from diverse historical and cultural traditions and styles, to help lead the St Thomas Choir and congregation, who are committed to excellent music and lively worship in the traditional Episcopal style.
The Choral Scholar experience will provide students with outstanding opportunities to develop their music ensemble and reading skills within the nurturing, supportive and friendly atmosphere of the St. Thomas Music program. It will also place students in an excellent position to apply for Staff Singer/Section Leader positions at the college level and beyond.
