Apollo Respite For All is a program designed to provide our Friends who are experiencing dementia with purpose, connection, and joy. At Apollo, we believe there are seven aspects of well-being we are trying to enrich: identity, connection, security, autonomy, meaning, growth and joy.
These ministries support the life of worship through prayer, service, and shared responsibility within the liturgy.
Our Altar Guild prepares the worship space before and after services, caring for linens, vessels, and sacred elements used in worship. They provide quiet, behind-the-scenes service that helps ensure everything is ready for the liturgy.
Our acolytes assist in worship by supporting the flow of the service through roles such as carrying the cross and candles and helping with movement throughout the liturgy. This ministry is open to all and is often shared by both youth and adults.
Our Bread Guild prepares and provides bread used in worship, serving a meaningful role in the celebration of the Eucharist. It is a quiet, behind-the-scenes service that supports the sacramental life of the church through careful preparation and reverence.
Our Choir and Musicians lead and support worship through music that helps shape a prayerful and engaging liturgy. This ministry includes singers and instrumentalists who contribute their gifts to the worship life of the church.
Our Greeters welcome people as they arrive and help create a sense of belonging from the moment they enter worship. This ministry offers a warm and consistent presence that supports hospitality within the church community.
Our Lectors proclaim Scripture and Prayers during worship services through clear and thoughtful readings. This ministry helps the congregation engage more deeply with the Word during the liturgy.
Our Vergers support the order and flow of worship services by coordinating movement, setup, and practical details during the liturgy. This ministry helps ensure services proceed smoothly and reverently.
Our Ushers assist with seating, guide movement within the worship space, and support the practical flow of services. This ministry helps create an orderly and welcoming environment for all who attend.

This group helps care for the church campus through maintenance, setup, and practical support for events and worship. It provides behind-the-scenes service that helps the church function smoothly throughout the week.
St. Thomas partners with the Galveston County Food Bank to help distribute fresh food to families in need each month. It brings together volunteers to support a consistent outreach effort serving the wider community.
This men’s group gathers for fellowship centered around BBQ cooking/meat smoking, shared meals, and informal community connection. It provides a relaxed space for friendship, hospitality, and seasonal gatherings.
This ministry gathers for knitting, conversation, and shared time together while creating handmade items for others. It combines fellowship with simple acts of service and creativity.

Nearly New is a local resale shop that supports both the church and the wider community. It provides opportunities for service, connection, and outreach through daily operations by operating a modernized shop staffed by dedicated volunteers and sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women. Proceeds are given annually to local outreach efforts and charitable projects.
