Worship at St. Thomas is rooted in the beauty and rhythm of the Episcopal tradition, shaped by Scripture, prayer, and the shared work of the people gathered.
We worship using the liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer, currently grounded in the Women’s Lectionary for the Whole Church. Our services follow a pattern that is ancient, steady, and deeply participatory, where worship is something we do together, not something we simply observe.
At the heart of our liturgy is the Holy Eucharist, celebrated with reverence, simplicity, and joy. We move together through Scripture, prayer, confession, thanksgiving, and communion, trusting that God meets us in both word and sacrament.
Whether spoken quietly or lifted in song, our worship is designed to be accessible, meaningful, and rooted in the life of the community.
Music is a central expression of our prayer.
At our 10:30 service, worship is supported by choir and instrumentalists who help carry the liturgy through hymn, anthem, and congregational song. Music here is not performance, it is participation, inviting everyone to join their voice in worship.
We value both tradition and creativity, drawing from the rich heritage of Anglican and Episcopal hymnody while also embracing the living, evolving sound of our community.
Our worship is not static. It is shaped week by week by Scripture, season, and community life. From spoken prayer to full choral Eucharist, we seek to offer worship that is both grounded and alive: beautiful, honest, and open to all who enter.
