Rise Against Hunger

St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church will participate in a food packing event sponsored by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on April 28-29, 2017. The Rise Against Hunger organization hopes to pack a shipping container of meals which will eventually be shipping to Convoy of Hope in Nicaragua. Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with a driving passion to free the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, and disaster response. St. Thomas will have packing times on Friday, April 28 afternoon and evening and on Saturday, April 29 in the morning. It is recommended that individuals and groups sign up for a 2 hr. shift but many find that they want to continue packing past their shift time. There will be a youth packing event Saturday night.
