On Tuesday, February 28, St. Thomas celebrated their first (hopefully of many) Fat Tuesday Zydeco Mass. With the Platinum Players Zydeco Band leading the music, members of the congregation, school, and others danced down the aisles in joyous celebration! The procession was led by Fr. Mike Stone in true Mardi Gras finery, including a Hello, Kitty parasol! After a very meaningful and fun-filled service, everyone danced into the parish hall for a low country shrimp boil with all the fixings, including craft beer and King cake. This rousing party finished off the Epiphany season and led us into a quiet, contemplative Lenten season. Please check out our website for our Lenten offerings.
