Every girl. Everywhere. Period.
Days for Girls empowers women and girls around the globe through providing sustainable feminine hygiene solutions and health education. In areas where women have been taught that menstruation is a curse and a reminder that they are somehow less, DfG is helping them to remember that their bodies are their own, and that they are worthy of health, opportunity, and dignity. Please join the momentum on Saturday, January 14th from 9am-3pm here at St. Thomas for another Days For Girls Sew-a-thon.
A wide variety of work stations will be set up with plenty to do, whether you sew, or not! (If you have a portable sewing machine or a serger, please bring it, along with your scissors.) Come have fun, learn something new and leave knowing you’ve made an impact. We need everyone! Please RSVP by 1/12 to Fran Lantz (713) 560-2971 or flantz947@att.net, and let her know if you’d like lunch (provided by Days For Girls) and if you can bring a sewing machine or serger.
If you can’t make the event but would still like to help out, your donations of the following items will be appreciated!
