Saint Thomas the Apostle

Episcopal Church

Year-End Giving:

As the end of the year rapidly approaches, we reflect upon our many blessings. In addition to being generous with our pledges, many consider making an additional year-end gift to the church.

You can give with a check, cash, or online anytime via the PayPal button at the bottom of our website at www.sttaec.org. You can also make donations of stock – contact Courtney in the church office for more information. Please keep in mind that to qualify for tax credit for the 2016 year, all gifts must be received by midnight December 31st, or postmarked by December 31st.

IRA Charitable Rollover:

The charitable IRA rollover, or qualified charitable distribution, makes it easier for you to use your IRA assets to make charitable gifts. A special provision that allows individuals age 70 1/2 or older to exclude from taxable income – and count toward their required minimum distribution – transfers of IRA assets, up to a total of $100,000, that are made directly to public charities, such as St. Thomas. To take advantage of this for 2016, donors need to arrange a direct transfer from their IRA to an eligible charity by December 31, 2016. Donation under this provision is simple and straightforward. If you would like to make a contribution to St. Thomas from your Individual Retirement Account, please speak with your IRA administrator.

2016 Pledge Balance:

Where do I stand as of today? If you are unsure of your total contributions this year, please contact Courtney in the church office (281-333-2384), and she can give you an up-to-date accounting.
