Well, we are into week three of the Bible challenge and I hope those of you participating are up to date on your reading. If you are not, (like me), that is ok, just find a little extra time to catch up and get back on track. I hope each of you are getting into the swing and that you are learning something. I know it is difficult to get lost in the genealogies of the OT, but hang on ….. you will get through it!
I do want to add one thing for you to think about. As you are most aware, we will be embarking on a pilgrimage to Israel next March with Fr. Mike and the church. I hope you are considering making this trip. I will add to it, if you are taking the Bible Challenge with us, we will finish reading the entire Bible a few weeks before we embark on the pilgrimage. I cannot think of any better way to prepare for this journey than by reading the Bible in its entirety before we go.
It is not too late to start the challenge … remember there are no meetings or classes, just a commitment from yourself to yourself to read 6 days a week from the OT, the NT, and the Psalms. If you need the template of readings, just let myself or Courtney know. It is also published on our webpage for ease of reference.
I encourage you to continue if you are participating, and if you have not started, I encourage you to get on board and join us for this journey! If you start now, you will be done by the time we go to Israel!! I am keeping each of you in my prayers as we read and study together!
