At McWhirter Elementary, 80% of families on the free lunch program.  Without our support, families are put in the position of deciding between rent/gas/utilities and celebrating Thanksgiving with a traditional meal. St Thomas has partnered with McWhirter for the last 7 years to provide 50+ full Thaksgiving bags. To participate, shop using the list below and drop off your contribution by Tuesday, November 8 to St Thomas so we can bless these meals, package them, and make the season brighter and more festive!

2 cans of Green Beans
2 cans of Yams/sweet potatoes
2 cans of Corn
1 can Cranberry Sauce

1 pumpkin pie filling or cake mix

1 bag Brown Sugar
1 box or bag of Stuffing Mix

1 box Instant Mashed Potatoes
(or) 1 box Scalloped or Au Gratin Potatoes
1 box of Corn Bread mix
2 boxes Macaroni and Cheese
1 Bag of Marshmallows

gift card for turkey, butter, and milk-please attach the gift card to the outside of the bag. Please label the gift card with the amount available on the card.

Please place items in a study container, like a cardboard box, cloth bag, or several layers of a paper sack.

Please place the heavier items at the bottom of the container and lighter items at the top.
