Ronn McFarlane & Carolyn Surrick in Concert

One of the most well known lutenists around, Ronn McFarlane is known for his prolific solo work, as well his virtuoso lute duo with renowned lutenist Paul O’Dette, and his 40+ years with acclaimed early music ensemble The Baltimore Consort. Viola da gambist Carolyn Surrick is known as the founder of Celtic/early music group Ensemble Galilei, with whom she’s been ringleader since the early 1990s. Extensive touring with the ensemble across the country, and her many multidisciplinary collaborations with artists from many different mediums, spreads her acclaim far and wide. Together Ronn and Carolyn perform Renaissance and Baroque music, Traditional Celtic and Swedish folk tunes, and original compositions from both of them. Their debut CD, Fermi’s Paradox, was released in November 2020, and they’ve already released their second recording, a Christmas album, in 2021.
