Christmas Season Services

St. Thomas offers numerous opportunities to celebrate the Christmas season.

The Longest Night service will take place on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 4:30 pm. This solemn service makes room for grief and loss during a busy and sometimes forcefully-happy Christmas season through thoughtful practices, music, and prayer.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, services start with a 3:30 pm family service which includes a “spontaneous” Christmas pageant: children who come to this service by 3.15 will be able to participate in the pageant with costumes and minimal direction.  It is such a joy!  There will be a high solemn mass at 5:00 pm.  Then there will be carol singing at 9:00 pm and the 9:30 pm service (the “midnight” service) will also be a high solemn mass with champagne and chocolate to follow.  As you can see, there are multiple opportunities for you to worship with us on Christmas Eve.  If you choose, there will be a casual Christmas Day service (wear you PJ’s if you want!) on Dec. 25 at 9:30 am with a blessing of any toys you would like to bring, children and adults!
