Christine Alexander, owner of Alexander Art Glass and a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay, has been commissioned to design 3 stained glass windows for a chapel being constructed on the San Sebastian side of the St. Thomas sanctuary. This chapel will hold the church’s columbarium and be a quiet, contemplative place to pray or hold small services. The windows that Christine has designed, and is in the process of assembling, (1) represent the resurrected Jesus and St. Thomas (patron saint of the church), (2) a lamb leaping into the arms of Christ the Good Shepherd, and (3) the Holy Spirit and the creation of the Universe. The goal is for these magnificent panels to be completed by Christmas 2017 or Easter 2018. Christine has also donated a fused bowl for the silent auction of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal School’s 50th Anniversary Gala held at Lakewood Yacht Club on February 25.
